Elkhart Conn 88H Open Wrap Trigger Trombone!

One of several Conn 88H trigger trombones we are offering for sale. Technically a large bore tenor trombone, it is very often used as a bass trombone in a pinch when a true bass isn't available, and is the most popular pro tenor ever made. This is the 88H-O variation with a harder-to-find open-wrap F section and a free-blowing, more responsive experience than the standard closed wrap design. It is in very good condition: moderate lacquer wear and scratches mostly on the slide and contact points, and a few scattered, small dings but no significant dents or repairs.  Just through the shop where it was lubed, polished, and had a new slide bumper and neoprene water key cork installed. All tuning slides are free.  A very tiny bit of wear on the edge of one stocking as seen in the photos, but the slide is fast and smooth and glassy with no concerns.  S/n 100XXX on the bell section and E62XX on the slide.  Comes in the original hard case which is in very good condition but with one broken latch—an easy fix at any shop, but I’ve been holding out trying to find an exact match.  Cleaning rod included, and we have hundreds of mouthpieces for sale under eBay seller ID “ashanteemusicinc.”  MSRP $5,258, selling new at WWBW for $3,699, so snatch up this excellent one, and save about $2000!
