Yamaha 6346HGS Professional Trumpet--Large Bore, Heavy Weight

The least expensive pro trumpet we are offering for sale! This is a Yamaha YTR-6345HGS Bb trumpet in silver. The 6000 series was Yamaha's professional line prior to introducing the Custom series that eventually became the Xeno. This one has three hard-to-find upgrades over the base models: it's a heavy weight, large bore model with a gold brass bell, so it's got a humongous, rich, expansive tone with lots of power and volume that will cut through the rest of the band and really fill up the room or field. It's a great horn for marching band! It's in good condition: the main tuning slide works smoothly, but the three little ones are frozen and will be pretty difficult to loosen up. The main one will let you tune to the rest of the band, and you can live without the others at an intermediate level or take them to a really good brass shop if you want to get them working. Silver plate is about 95% with lots of small scratches and dings left over from past dent removal, but no major dents. It still polishes up to be a great-looking horn as seen in the photos. Valves are fast and smooth and quiet. Note that this horn is oiled with SYNTHETIC oil and you should use the same or thoroughly clean the valves and pistons prior to switching to a petroleum-base product. The accessible portions were just chem cleaned and detergent cleaned, and it had all new water key corks and piston felts installed. Tuning slide grease and valve oil are for local pickup only, but it does comes with a bunch of extras! Bach 7C and Bach 5C mouthpieces, a plastic marching mouthpiece so your lips don't freeze solid, a leather ProTec valve guard, a new ProTec leather finger protector, cleaning rod, polishing cloth, three-piece mouthpiece pouch, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and marching lyre. All in a good Yamaha hard case with lots of room for accessories. A great horn for marching band or anyone wanting a pro, silver horn without spending two grand on a used Stradivarius, and just in time for Christmas!
