Yamaha YOB-431advanced wooden oboe

Yamaha modified conservatory wooden oboe for sale, model YOB-431.  Excellent condition with no chips or cracks, minor plating wear on a few of the keys as shown, but in general polishes up to a shiny, nice-looking instrument.  Just out of the local shop where it was regulated and adjusted, cork pads in excellent condition, all the felt pads on the lower joint and bell are brand new.  Plays fine across all registers, but keep in mind that oboes almost always need minor adjustment after shipping, and especially in cold weather.  Comes in a hard case with reed, swab, and (if you are local) cork grease, but the grease cannot be shipped due to postal regulations.  Also included is a nice Estee Lauder bag which works perfectly as a case cover, and makes it less likely that someone will steal your $3,000 instrument from the seat of your car!  This oboe is basically the prior version of the 441 before they renamed all the models, with all the important keys including the F-resonance key, Left F key, and third octave key--which is missing off so many other oboes you might be looking at.  (And a new 441 sells for $3440.99 at WWBW, just to keep life in perspective.)  The perfect oboe for advanced and semi-professional players, or as a backup to your pro horn, and just in time for Christmas!
